Reflexology

This relaxing, as well as therapeutic, modality has its origins in ancient healing. It is a wonderful way of activating the body’s own healing powers. There are reflex areas in the feet, hands, and ears and body that correspond to all of the organs, glands and body parts. As these areas are stimulated, the body receives a message to nourish and heal the specific area. Stimulation also improves the Qi or energy flow  through the body, releasing any pent up or stagnant energy which may be causing issues. Often areas of concern will show up as tender at the corresponding points on the feet or hands. The goal is to stimulate healing however, so communication is essential to avoid pain. If a body is in a cringing and withdrawing state while recoiling from pain, it cannot heal. A reflexology treatment should never be painful. Tender areas are worked gently with less force applied and greater energy, and will most often improve with subsequent treatments.

 While I work on the feet or hands, I also work with Psi energy, affecting balance in all levels of your being, not only physical, but mental, emotional, and spiritual as well. These levels including the chakras are also represented and correspond with the reflex points and zones on the body. It is a beneficial combination to experience a foot reflexology treatment with a Integrative Chakra Therapy® session.

A nice in depth reflexology session typically requires one hour for feet only. Combining treatment for feet and hands, and or chakra and energy balancing it is recommended to book a minimum of 90 minutes.
