Herb Walk for Kids

This event is for kids 8-12 yrs old.

For half of this workshop we will be hiking out in the field learning about some common local plants and their uses. We will learn about some edible and medicinal wild plants as well as recognition of some common poisonous ones to learn to avoid. We will also gather nature treasures for our craft.

For the second half we will be in the Tipi, creating our nature craft and a booklet of plants we have learned about, which the children can take home and add to as they continue to learn.
